Job Summary
Meat Helper at Food City—perform essential grocery-meat department tasks with a customer-first approach. Responsibilities include greeting customers, providing prompt and courteous service, stocking and rotating meat products with correct weights and packaging, following the Food Safety program, maintaining display cases and pricing accuracy, assisting with light meat cutting, receiving orders for processed meats, and ensuring sanitation of the department. Requires on-site attendance for scheduled shifts, ability to follow verbal/written instructions, and teamwork to create a positive, friendly work environment. Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
- Food safety program adherence
- Ability to stock and rotate products
- Attention to proper packaging, weights, and measures for self-service products
- Ability to maintain neat, clean workstations and display cases
- Ability to perform light cutting work
- Receiving/ordering processed meats
- Maintain correct pricing of processed meats
- Sanitation of department (twice daily)
- On-site attendance and punctuality requirements
- Team-oriented, friendly, customer-first attitude
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
