Job Summary

Lead the Receiving Room in the Lathrop Meat Department, overseeing receiving operations, quality checks, FIFO rotation, and the training/mentoring of Chuck Receivers. Responsibilities include inspecting front-quarter chucks for quality, ensuring accurate quantities and harvest dates, completing paperwork and invoices, communicating discrepancies to leadership, coordinating onboarding and development of Chuck Receivers, maintaining room setup and sanitation readiness, and assisting with daily room oversight. Requires coordination of safety and break schedules and the ability to lift heavy weights, work in cold environments, and adapt to a rotating 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule. Strong emphasis on leadership, training, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Meat Processing Department is required.
  • Prior leadership experience is required.
  • Familiarity with GMPs and food safety protocols related to Meat Operations.
