Job Summary
Set department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, and profitability while coordinating the delivery of fresh, high-quality products at competitive prices. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all department employees, determining weekly schedules and daily work plans. Manage inventory, analyze sales trends, prepare ad projections, and oversee bookkeeping procedures. Ensure proper temperatures and storage to control shrink, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain strict adherence to hygiene and safety guidelines. Handle customer issues, answer phones, and assist shoppers by securing out-of-reach items and passing along requests.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent
- Computer meat program
- Hy-Vee food safety training
- Must be physically able to exert up to 100 pounds of force (shared team lifting) occasionally
- Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Must be physically able to exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly
- Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction
- Depth perception
- Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
