Job Summary

Maintain department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, and profitability while coordinating the delivery of fresh, high-quality products at competitive prices. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all department employees, including approving discipline and recommending transfers or salary increases. Manage daily operations by determining work schedules, conducting inventory, analyzing sales trends, and overseeing bookkeeping and pricing. Ensure proper storage temperatures, troubleshoot equipment, and handle customer inquiries and product orders directly. Adhere to strict hygiene and safety guidelines while managing company assets and responding to regulatory inspections.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18+
  • High School or equivalent
  • Computer meat program
  • Hy-Vee food safety training
  • Over one year of related work experience
  • Must be physically able to exert up to 100 pounds of force (shared team lifting) occasionally
  • Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently
  • Must be physically able to exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly
  • Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction
  • Depth perception
  • Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
  • Field of vision
