Job Summary
Manage the meat department's daily operations, including product planning, ordering, and inventory control while ensuring displays remain fresh and shelves are stocked. Coordinate with store management to design promotion plans that meet sales targets and oversee employee scheduling, attendance, and performance reviews. Receive poultry shipments, verify quantity and quality, and direct physical inventory counts using FIFO methods. Maintain a safe, clean workplace and handle sensitive documentation with strong interpersonal skills. Complete a 6 to 8-month training and evaluation period before direct assignment to a store, requiring flexibility for weekend, holiday, and rotating shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years experience in related fields
- 1 year of management/supervisor experience
- Work in an environment with varying temperature and use equipment
- Require lifting 25+ lbs objects and long periods of standing
- Must be able to work at a flexible schedule (night, weekends & holidays)
- Must be able to relocate if necessary
- Must be able to travel between different stores for training purposes
- Capable of reading, analyzing, interpreting technical procedures and training materials
- Able to speak, write, present, commute, and respond to information and questions
- Great interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, mass and volume
- Commit to company values and customer services
- Bilingual English, Chinese, and Spanish
- Authorized to work in the United States
- At least 18 years old
- Weekend & Holiday required
- 6 days a week
- Overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with inventory management programs, Microsoft Office, IT retail, or SAP
- Familiar with local vendors and popular local products
- Use label updating and price sign printing computer programs efficiently
- Work on Human Capital Management, including coaching, operational training, mentoring, and performance review
- Maintain a safe and clean workplace
