Job Summary
Clean food prep and storage areas, mechanical equipment, and tools used for meat cutting, trimming, and preparing products. Greet, assist, and thank customers while offering product suggestions in a prompt, courteous manner. Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control, then assist with inventory management and ordering supplies. Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures and identifying unsafe conditions or policy violations to notify management. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines. This locally owned full-service grocery store prides itself on great customer service, community connection, and acting with integrity.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Previous experience cleaning in meat cutting and preparing areas
- Customer service experience
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
- Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail or grocery environment preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a meat cutter
