Job Summary
Meat Cutter-Backup in a union-represented NSM setting. Responsibilities include wrapping, weighing, and pricing meat and seafood products per department policy and regulatory guidelines, assisting the Lead Meat Cutter to ensure items are cut, trimmed, and processed to standard, and supporting ordering and inventory to meet sales goals. Provides exceptional customer service, helps maintain department standards and cleanliness, adheres to safety and food safety policies, and participates in scheduling and production planning. Requires strong product knowledge (beef, lamb, pork), ability to work varied shifts including evenings/weekends/holidays, and capability to lift heavy items and operate related equipment. Emphasizes teamwork, diversity, and a respectful workplace aligned with company values; communicates issues to management and supports vendor relationships, pricing accuracy, and adherence to regulatory and company standards.
Required Qualifications
- Previous meat cutting / fabrication experience required.
- Must complete and maintain any required food and work safety trainings/certifications
