Job Summary
Meat Cutter responsible for unloading and staging meat, cutting and trimming, weighing, packaging, and merchandising products in a refrigerated cutting room. Operates meat saws, cubers, slicers, scales, grinders, and labeling machines; reads and performs basic arithmetic; lifts up to 100 pounds and works in temperatures from 0 to 55 degrees. Provides customer assistance, carries out order cuts, checks dates, rotates stock, maintains sanitation, and stocks pre-packaged meat items. Requires up-to-date sanitation, ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and willingness to travel to/from work as needed.

- Normally work a maximum 8 hour shift
- Provide verbal & physical assistance to customers
- Prepare, weigh, package and price product to maximize gross profit, stock, merchandise and rotate product
- Operate hydraulic baler
- Maintain sales and other written records
- Perform freshness checks and re-condition product
- Perform sweeping, cleaning and mopping functions
- Operate telephones and intercoms
- Maintain sanitation standards
- Bag and remove trash
