Job Summary
Meijer part-time Meat Cutter assisting in daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind, following the production schedule to meet requirements for advertised fresh meat cuts; responsibilities include assisting in writing fresh meat orders, organizing and checking in fresh meat deliveries, maintaining positive relationships with customers, team members and leadership, and applying knowledge of weights and measures, safety and sanitation procedures, product presentation, packaging, and CAO applications to support merchandise and inventory in the meat department.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing
- Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures
- Experience in product presentation and packaging
- Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications
- Current handjack/hilo license
- Experience with inventory control procedures
