Job Summary
Cut and package authorized beef, pork, and poultry items using knives and power equipment according to company policies. Wrap, weigh, price, and label meat based on guidelines while maintaining proper date rotation and cold chain integrity during delivery. Update displays, case signs, and merchandising to maximize sales and ensure sanitation standards are met daily. Assist with product ordering and perform other perishable or non-perishable duties as assigned to maintain optimal store performance.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills
- Must be dependable
- Must be flexible
- Willingness to work in other areas of the store, as needed with little or no advance notice
- Must adhere to a uniform dress code
- Ability to reach, bend, twist, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 30 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to move heavy product with assistance
- Ability to stand, walk and / or move about for extended periods of time
- Ability to push, pull, grasp and use sawing motions for extended periods of time
- Ability to demonstrate, understand and apply workplace values
- Attentively listens to others and understands the unique needs of different audiences
- Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances

Desired Qualifications
- Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw (where certified to cut meat)
- Company work history, including attendance, work performance, safety, policy compliance and performance management
- Language proficiency in Spanish or other languages
