Job Summary
Meat Cutter I in Elkhart, IN, full-time role in the meat department. Responsible for trimming/preparing standard cuts of meat, executing merchandising plans, coaching others, leading department tasks, ensuring proper dating and rotation, maintaining sanitation and quality standards, and ensuring attractive presentation and pricing of cuts. Requires knives/power equipment experience, basic math, customer service and teamwork, adherence to policies (COOL/USDA), and flexibility to work across store areas. 18+ eligibility with high school diploma or equivalent; prior meat-cutting experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of previous experience cutting meat including using hand tools and power equipment (knives, slicers, grinders, cubing machines, power saws) preferred
- Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English; Spanish or other languages a plus
