Job Summary
Meat Cutter I manages and supports the meat department to meet and exceed standards, trimming and preparing standard beef, pork, and poultry cuts, while driving sales and profitability. Responsibilities include product ordering, merchandising, shrink control, coaching and training teammates, setting work priorities, enforcing meat policies, and ensuring proper display, dating, labeling (COOL/USDA), and quality. Requires knives/power equipment use, sanitation and safety compliance, and the ability to work under Store Manager direction; must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent and English proficiency; one year of meat-cutting experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Proficiency in basic math skills
- One year of previous experience cutting meat (preferred)
