Job Summary
Process, cut, trim, scrape, package, tie, wrap, weigh, price, and label meat products while maintaining a clean work area and proper temperatures in coolers and freezers. Ensure adequate meat supplies and rotate product to minimize shrink and maximize sales. Direct subordinates in implementing plans and provide support to area stores when staff is absent. Operate knives, scales, slicers, and pallet jacks to prepare various cuts of meat in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Work the first shift in a store or warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from 50F to 90F.
Required Qualifications
- Adequate knowledge of the preparation of different cuts of meat
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
