Job Summary
Cut fresh meats, smoked meats, seafood, lunchmeat, and frozen food to specifications while greeting, assisting, and thanking customers in a prompt, courteous manner. Receive and breakdown meat deliveries, then cube, slice, grind, wrap, weigh, and price products using peak time performance cutting lists. Operate department equipment and tools while observing local, state, and government weights and measures laws, sanitation standards, grinding logs, and Country of Origin Labeling. Maintain a clean, orderly work area free from safety hazards, report faulty equipment, and notify management of theft, shoplifting, or policy violations. Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
