Greet customers warmly, assist them in selecting the best cuts of meat, and answer questions while providing recommendations on different cuts and types. Safely and expertly use hand-tools, grinders, cubing machines, and power saws to cut meats, following safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper handling and storage. Set and maintain meat and seafood cases and displays, adhering to first-in, first-out principles to reduce waste. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the department, including fixtures, storage, work stations, freezers, and coolers. Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth store operations, participate in cross-training across departments like produce and bakery, and assist as needed. Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and standing for long periods are required.
