Job Summary
Greet customers, recommend meat cuts, and answer questions while maintaining product safety and preventing contamination. Set and maintain meat and seafood cases using FIFO principles to reduce waste, then safely operate grinders, cubing machines, and power saws to cut meats. Keep the department clean and organized, ensuring all fixtures, storage, and coolers meet sanitation standards. Work with the team to support store operations and participate in cross-training across produce, bakery, and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Up to 50 pounds frequently; up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Frequent reaching in all directions
- Long periods of standing
- Significant frequent pushing/pulling of heavy carts or pallet jacks
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of meat cuts and cooking techniques preferred
