Job Summary
Accurately cut to trim and yield specifications as provided by cut tickets; pull raw materials and pre-cut inventory according to codes; label products to meet regulatory and safety requirements; record data for yield tests; maintain product quality and accuracy; manage product yields to meet deadlines; assist in maintaining safety programs and report unsafe conditions; operate knives, scales, and related equipment; perform required math for order quantities; work in refrigerated, cold, and wet environments with occasional high-noise conditions; strong English communication; good teamwork and physical stamina to lift 50-60 pounds; comply with USDA guidelines and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience with portion cutting meat
- Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language
- Physical strength to lift 50-60 pounds
- Ability to operate knives, scales and related equipment
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and conversions for orders
- Ability to work in refrigerated processing and warehouse areas
- Color vision required
- Attention to safety and compliance with USDA guidelines
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing customer demands and production goals
