Job Summary
Meat Cutter responsible for cutting, grinding, wrapping fresh meat and maintaining department cleanliness. Ensures customer service and product quality, freshness, safety and selection; adheres to company policies and federal/state health and safety standards; handles loading, quality checks, proper procedure for cutting/grinding/weighing/wrapping, controls shrink and waste, maintains logs, and ensures sanitation of the meat department area and equipment. Works with merchandising, labeling, and signing procedures, processes special orders, assists customers with service and product recommendations, and may work nights, weekends, and holidays. Operates related equipment and handles inventory and ordering devices; requires strong math, communication, and teamwork skills and a commitment to safety and integrity.
