Job Summary
Meat Cutter responsible for customer service and a safe, efficient meat department operation. Performs meat functions including stocking, displays, and facing; maintains stock levels and display presentation; ensures price integrity; handles invoices and receiving; manages inventory and back stock; assists with scheduling when needed; provides administrative support in the absence of supervisors; leads in health and safety compliance, training, and staff supervision in the absence of management; duties include cutting, grinding, and wrapping meat, with emphasis on quality, teamwork, and community-focused service. Qualifications emphasize Grade 12/equivalent, meat cutting certification or equivalent experience, and knowledge of ordering/receiving procedures. Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Meat cutting certification or currently enrolled & have completed the first practicum of the Meat Cutting Certification Program or minimum of 2 years retail meat cutting work experience
