Job Summary
The Meat Clerk is responsible for maintaining pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in the meat department. Key responsibilities include unloading merchandise, transporting stock, pricing items accurately, keeping shelves stocked, building store displays, rotating perishable merchandise, managing damaged goods, cleaning the meat preparation room, and observing store policies. Essential skills include reading and writing for tagging, lifting abilities, and following instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.
- Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
- Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
