Job Summary
The Meat Clerk is responsible for maintaining pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in the meat department. Key duties include unloading merchandise, transporting stock, pricing items, keeping shelves stocked, building store displays, managing perishable goods, maintaining sanitation in the preparation room, observing policies, and interacting with customers. Required skills include the ability to lift heavy items, follow instructions, and maintain accurate inventory.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.
- Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
- Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
