Job Summary
The Meat Clerk is responsible for maintaining pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in the meat department. Key responsibilities include unloading merchandise, transporting stock, opening cartons and pricing items, keeping store shelves stocked, assisting in building store displays, rotating perishable goods, controlling damaged goods, and maintaining cleanliness in the meat preparation area. The role requires the ability to read and write for tagging, lift heavy items, and follow instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.
- Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
- Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
