Job Summary
Meat Clerk at Hy-Vee responsible for prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service in the Meat/Seafood Department. Primary duties include wrapping, trimming, stocking cases, receiving merchandise, assisting customers (guiding to products, lifting heavy items, taking orders), ensuring sanitation and cleanliness, rotating stock, preparing seafood items for display, and collaborating with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience. Must be able to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 85 pounds occasionally, frequent standing, bending, and repetitive motions) and adhere to store policies. Requires high school or equivalent experience and food safety training; prior related work preferred. Employment contingent upon successful pre-employment drug screen.
