Job Summary
Meat Clerk role in BJ’s Wholesale Club's meat department requiring assisting customers, weighing/packing meat, and maintaining department standards. Responsibilities include weighing, packaging, wrapping, labeling cuts of meat, assisting the meat cutter, inspecting deliveries, restocking cases, rotating inventory by expiration dates, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and displays, and following club policies. Requires good teamwork, reliability, and adherence to safety and quality standards; typically includes working in a fast-paced retail environment with meat, poultry, seafood, and cheese products. Experience with fresh meats and wrapping machines preferred; minimum age 18.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred
- Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred
- Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred
