Job Summary
Meat Clerk Full Time at BJ’s Wholesale Club. Receives, rotates, wraps, and merchandises fresh and processed meats; assists in merchandising seafood, rotisserie chickens, prepared foods, and cheeses; answers questions and recommends products to Members; maintains cleaning and safety standards within the meat department; contributes to team goals and upholds club policies and Gold/Member standards; supports a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy, speed, and customer service. The role involves weighing, packaging, wrapping, labeling cuts of meat, assisting in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood, inspecting deliveries, stocking cases, and rotating items by expiration date, while adhering to safety and quality guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred
- Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred
- Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred
