Job Summary
Provide exceptional guest service at the meat counter and sales floor, fulfilling special orders and answering product questions. Maintain fresh, well-stocked displays by inspecting, rotating, and replenishing meat products and supplies. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper equipment usage, including slicers and lifting techniques. Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining regular attendance and providing adequate notice for occasional absences. Work in a fast-paced retail environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- Evening and weekend availability
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
- Ability to stand in one place for a long period of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
- Full range of upper body motion
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively engage with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates
- Utilization of strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to multitask
- Stay customer service focused
- Understanding of safety and food safety practices
- Commitment to following safety and food safety practices
- Knowledge of equipment and procedures including slicers
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques
- Knowledge of trash compactor operation
- Knowledge of baler operation
