Job Summary
The Meat Clerk is responsible for maintaining pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in the meat department. Essential functions include assisting in unloading merchandise, transporting stock to storage, pricing items, ensuring store shelves are fully stocked, building store displays, rotating perishable goods, controlling damaged goods, assisting in cleaning, and properly presenting assigned sections before shifts end. Customer interaction and adherence to company policies are also key responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product
- Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas
- Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
