Job Summary
Meat Cutter Apprentice responsible for meat cutting and preparation, meat stocking and rotation, and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, employee-owned store. Learn retail cutting techniques (sawing, boning, cutting, trimming, grinding, wrapping) and operate equipment (meat saw, slicer, scales, pallet jack) to meet daily production needs while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Assist the Meat Manager in achieving department sales and profit goals and provide excellent customer service by answering questions, guiding product selection, and offering samples. Emphasizes teamwork, respect, safety, and quality as part of Homeland’s commitment to local sourcing and employee ownership.
