Measurement Technician

Job Summary
Install, operate, and maintain all measurement equipment, including electronic flow meters, control valves, and associated communications systems, in accordance with industry standards and company policy. Perform and witness testing and calibration of owned and third-party meters, while collecting gas and liquid samples per established procedures. Operate a company-owned vehicle safely and maintain accurate records of daily activities, including critical safety and regulatory documentation. Work outdoors in extreme weather, perform heavy lifting up to 62 pounds, and drive frequently. Available for overtime and call-outs as needed based on business necessity.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license
- Safe driving record satisfactory to the company
- Familiarity with orifice meters
- Experience with electronic flow meters
- Some gas analysis experience
- Competent knowledge of various types of EFMs and test equipment
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 62 pounds in a safe manner
- Availability for overtime and call-outs as needed based on business necessity
- Outdoor work required with exposure to elements
- Ability to drive
- Ability to walk
- Ability to stand frequently
Desired Qualifications
- Some experience with ultrasonic and Coriolis meters
- Experience with Gas/Liquid Chromatographs
- Experience with testing and sampling input software (such as TESTit)
- Good communicator
- Work planner
- Excellent work ethics
- Good background in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite
