Measurement Technician I

Job Summary

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of gas measurement equipment at well sites, booster stations, and pipeline facilities in compliance with Company procedures, TRRC, and applicable DOT regulations. Utilizes programming software including TotalFlow, Roclink, FreeWave, and MDS configuration software; maintains accurate measurement of gas in/out of an assigned area; schedules measurement tests and samples; calibrates and troubleshoots field instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature, EFM including TotalFlow 6412 & 6413, Barton dry-flow meters); assists with natural gas compressors; adheres to schedule and regulatory requirements; oversees end-of-month closeout and proving of meters; completes mandated safety and regulatory training; performs other tasks as assigned by Foreman. Must demonstrate integrity, strong work ethic, effective communication, adaptability to a fast-paced environment, basic computer/data entry skills, and ability to work in extreme weather and physical conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Possess a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus (may be required in some locations)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug and background check
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited, state-certified program
  • Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are preferred
  • Must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and participate in an on-call rotation
  • Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities preferred
