Job Summary
Perform daily measurement functions, including calibration and repair of measurement equipment (liquid and gas) for oilfield clients (fuel docks, marine fuel transportation, chemical plants, oil refineries). Dismantle/reassemble instrumentation, monitor equipment condition, diagnose faults, tear down/rebuild liquid and gas metering systems, understand production equipment (e.g., separators, Glycol systems, communication equipment), calibrate electronic/manual systems, use DOS/Windows, handle electronic/production tasks, transport tools and calibration gear, communicate with clients professionally, travel to job sites, maintain safety, and learn new methods as needed; follow instructions and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to drive to and from the work place and the job site
- Capable of learning new methods of measurement and attend schools as needed
- Essential duties include dismantling and reassembling instrumentation and measurement equipment; calibrating and repairing measurement equipment; diagnosing faults; handling electronic and manual metering systems; operating computer systems (DOS and Windows); capable of traveling to job sites; maintaining professional and safe interactions with clients.
