Job Summary
MEAL Specialist responsible for design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) systems for WFP-funded Food and Cash programs, ensuring evidence-based approaches aligned with World Vision standards. Lead development and standardization of MEAL frameworks, tools, and indicators, strengthen capacity of MEAL staff, and integrate MEAL into program delivery. Collaborate with technical teams to support planning, evaluations, and donor compliance; promote accountability through feedback mechanisms and data-driven insights to inform decisions and enhance program quality. Lead MEAL for WFP programs, oversee routine monitoring, data collection, and reporting; translate impact data into actionable recommendations; manage baseline studies, post-distribution monitoring, impact assessments, and final evaluations; and contribute to donor reports and learning documentation. Requires MA/MSc in related fields, 4–10 years of experience in emergency food programming or related areas, strong knowledge of humanitarian standards, fluency in Amharic and English, willingness to travel to field locations, and ability to work in high-stress settings.
