Meadow Lands Elementary Instructional Assistant I - Teacher Aide

Assist certified teacher in providing instruction and/or supervision to individual students or students in small groups, monitor student progress, and generally help students be successful. Essential duties include working with students on assigned materials, reinforcing concepts taught by certified teachers, communicating assignments clearly, aiding classroom management and student conduct, adapting to changes in the absence of the regular instructional assistant, maintaining classroom cleanliness, protecting confidentiality, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, prioritizing and organizing work to meet schedules, and communicating effectively both orally and in writing with tact and patience. Post-offer pre-employment screenings are required. Location assignments are subject to change within the district; contracts are with the district (Daviess County Public Schools) rather than individual locations. Participates in Kentucky Public Pension Authority (KPPA).
