Job Summary
Install internal and external fibre optic cabling within Multi-Dwelling Units, including risers, corridors, and individual apartments. Carry out fibre splicing, OTDR testing, and power metering to verify network performance. Install and tension catenary wire systems, terminate Easy-Bend and InvisiLight solutions, and complete PoE device configurations for switches and cameras. Read schematics and floor plans to ensure accurate deployment, then conduct site surveys and produce as-built documentation. Liaise with building management and clients to coordinate access, while adhering to RAMS, NRSWA, and health and safety regulations. Complete daily work reports, test records, and photographic evidence for quality assurance. Work on an agreed day rate or price-work basis with overtime available, supported by a fully maintained company van and fuel card.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in civil works within the telecoms or utilities sectors
- A commitment to high standards of work and health & safety
- A collaborative, proactive approach to team projects
- A driving license
