Job Summary
Prepare, complete, and oversee the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process, ensuring assessments, care plans, and submissions are accurate, timely, and compliant with federal, state, and payer requirements. Partner with interdisciplinary teams to validate documentation, monitor quality measures, and determine Medicare eligibility. Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention policies, conduct surveillance, and investigate trends to ensure regulatory compliance. Train and coach team members on documentation standards, coding, and infection control practices while educating residents and families on safety measures. Requires current Minnesota RN licensure, experience with MDS and long-term care regulations, proficiency with electronic health records, and the ability to pass background checks. Full-time, 80-hour pay period with no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required in State of Minnesota
- Ability to pass state mandated background checks
- Physical capability to perform all essential job functions
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with team members, residents, and community partners
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with MDS coordination, RAI process, and long-term care regulations preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, CMS regulations, and reimbursement processes
- Strong understanding of infection prevention and control principles, surveillance, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems
