Job Summary
Maintain MDS schedules, coordinate completion across disciplines, and review data for accuracy before inputting into the computer. Verify state transmission and approval of assessments, correct rejected records, and prepare them for re-submission. Formulate Resident Care Plans with interdisciplinary teams, schedule regular meetings, and communicate plans to staff while ensuring compliance. Complete CAAs per state guidelines and perform related duties as directed by the DON. Requires current NC RN license, MDS-RAP experience, and adherence to facility policies.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
- current, valid RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- submit proof of license renewal every other year
- Ability to read, know, and follow personnel, department and facility policies and procedures
- adhere to local state and federal requirements
- Experience with MDS-RAP
- Care Planning functions
- Background checks
- drug-free workplace
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer experience with RUG-IV
- Prefer experience with MDS 3.0
