Job Summary
MDS Coordinator (RN required) responsible for maintaining and following MDS due dates, coordinating MDS completion across disciplines, ensuring data accuracy, inputting MDS results, verifying timely state submissions, correcting and resubmitting rejected records, completing CAAs per state guidelines, formulating and communicating the Resident Care Plan with the interdisciplinary team, scheduling and conducting RCP meetings, ensuring staff adherence to the RCP, collaborating with in-house and ancillary departments, and performing related duties as directed by the DON/Administrator.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current, valid RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Experience with MDS-RAP and Care Planning functions
- Prefer experience with RUG-IV and MDS 3.0
- Ability to read, follow policies and procedures and adhere to local, state, and federal requirements
- Submit license renewal documentation every other year
