MDS Coordinator - RN

Job Summary
Complete and coordinate accurate, timely MDS assessments to evaluate resident clinical and functional needs while ensuring compliance with CMS, state, and federal long-term care regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, monitor clinical documentation for reimbursement accuracy, and analyze resident data to support care quality decisions. Serve as a resource for nursing staff on MDS processes, participate in care conferences, and maintain survey-ready documentation through audit readiness protocols. Enforce policies, guide team growth, and communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs. Participate in an on-call rotation with leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in good standing
- License must be valid within the state of Iowa, or ability to activate
- Current, valid CPR Certification
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws
