Job Summary
Coordinate the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring timely and complete documentation of MDS, CAAS, and interdisciplinary care plans to meet federal, state, and certification guidelines. Assist the Director of Nursing in monitoring compliance with OBRA regulations, Medicare PPS, and Medicaid reimbursement processes while initiating and tracking discharge/re-entry forms through the AHT system. Facilitate accurate assessment reference dates, sequence diagnosis coding, and submit resident assessment data to state and federal agencies, maintaining confidentiality and correcting validation errors. Act as a resource for staff regarding computer issues and the MDS process, participating in daily interdisciplinary team meetings and monthly billing compliance reviews to ensure appropriate signatures and care plan initiation upon admission.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a current LVN license
- Excellent knowledge of RAI Process, the federal Medicare PPS process, and Medicaid reimbursement as required
- Thorough understanding of the Quality Indicator process
- Knowledge of the OBRA regulations and Minimum Data Set
- Knowledge of the care plan process
- Have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience in skilled nursing facility preferred
