Job Summary
MDS Coordinator responsible for overseeing and facilitating resident assessments (RAI/MDS) in a nursing facility, coordinating with the Interdisciplinary Care Plan Team to ensure complete findings and development of comprehensive care plans, assigning MDS dates and due dates, ensuring timely data completion and sign-off, maintaining accurate admissions/discharge records, and supporting facility operations. Requires Florida RN license (BSN preferred), RAC-CT certification or within 1 year of hire, CPR certification, 2-3 years in a health-care/long-term care setting, proficiency with clinical software, and strong English communication; duties include interviewing residents/staff/families, reporting status to supervisors, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Florida
- RAC-CT Certification required or obtained within 1 year of hire
- CPR certification
- 2-3 years of experience in a Health Care Facility, preferably in a long-term care facility
- BSN preferred
- Must have knowledge of computer office/clinical software
- Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
