Job Summary
Complete MDS 3.0 documentation and submittals to CMS while overseeing care plan initiation and updates. Initiate preventive and restorative nursing procedures to maximize resident function and independence. Assist in all phases of nursing care delivery, assess current residents for proper care levels, and communicate resident-centered care principles to staff, families, and physicians. Support the nursing department by assisting with orientation, developing continuing education programs, and managing state or federal survey processes. Participate in on-call rotation with nurse leadership and maintain proficiency in health information technology.
Required Qualifications
- RN from an accredited college
- Currently licensed in state of which applying without encumbrance
- Ability to maintain professional licensure and CEU requirements
- If LPN: enrollment and active progress in an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
- Agreement to begin the RN program within six (6) months of the employment start date
- Agreement to complete the program within its standard duration
- Proof of enrollment and documentation confirming the program's expected completion timeframe
- 1- 2 years supervisory experience in a geriatric setting
- Current CPR certification
- MDS experience
- Willingness to attend MDS training and become RAC-certified
