Job Summary
Complete and submit Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments accurately and in a timely manner while conducting regular quality checks on documentation to ensure regulatory compliance. Analyze patient data to recommend improvements in care plans and reimbursement processes, collaborating with nursing, therapy, and dietary teams to gather essential information. Stay updated on federal and state regulation changes affecting MDS and reimbursement, providing training and support to clinical staff on related processes. Assist in developing and implementing reimbursement strategies aligned with best practices. Requires a minimum of five years of MDS assessment experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities, proficiency in MDS software and electronic health record systems, and willingness to travel to all covered areas.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MDS assessment and clinical reimbursement roles in Skilled Nursing Facility
- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and other reimbursement systems
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in MDS software and electronic health record systems / PCC (point click care)
- Must be willing to Travel to all areas covered
