MDR Analyst Skillbridge Intern - Swing Shift (4pm - 12am ET)

Job Summary
MDR Analyst Skillbridge Intern on Swing Shift analyzes and evaluates anomalous network and system events in a 24x7 SOC environment, collaborates with MDR Analysts to research and investigate emerging threats, develops incident analysis reports, and helps design and implement operational processes to improve SOC efficiency. Responsibilities include threat hunting with lead-less analysis, building lab environments for research, reviewing IOCs from artifacts, and communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences. Requires substantial information security experience, SOC exposure, triage of endpoint events, and strong Windows (and related) proficiency, with familiarity across ELK, scripting (PowerShell, Python, Go), and cloud services (AWS and Azure/M365). Bonus skills include forensic capabilities, broader OS expertise, and security testing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3+) years of experience in an information security role
- Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC)
- One (1+) years of experience with triaging endpoint events from EDR, NGAV, and supporting the Incident Response (IR) process
- Deep knowledge on assessing threat indicators in a Windows Environment (e.g. Malware/Malicious Anomalies/Abnormal network Activity/Root Level Compromise, Forensic Artifacts)
- Familiarity with ELK stack (Dashboards, Logstash Config, Searching)
- Familiarity with scripting/programming: PowerShell, Python, and Go
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3 and IAM and Azure/M365
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
