MDP Customer Engineer II

Field Service Engineer (Customer Engineer) at Applied Materials is responsible for collaborating with customers to install, maintain, and upgrade equipment, using digital analytics for troubleshooting and applying diagnostic techniques to address issues. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems, and communicates directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service. Requires an associate degree or equivalent technical training, 1–2 years of field service experience (2–4 years preferred), ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics, basic mechanical and digital tooling skills, and a valid driver’s license with passport travel capability. On-site role in Nagasaki, Japan with 10% travel; full-time position with relocation eligibility; favorable physical requirements and clean-room PPE experience expected.
