Job Summary
Administer a large, complex network environment with geographically distributed systems by installing applications, optimizing server and desktop configurations, and resolving hardware and software issues. Manage security protocols, patching, vulnerability assessments, and active directory configurations while maintaining documentation for incident resolution. Respond to system administration, operations, and maintenance problems, developing re-work solutions and communicating with users and external support personnel regarding outages and upgrades. Conferring with upper management on recommended resolution options.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical field
- at least 8 years of relevant experience
- experience as a systems administrator providing direct support to end users and technical staff
- proficiency with Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory
- experience with software/hardware deployment, patches, operating systems, and basic system backup and restore functions
- experience with/be familiar with SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, Nessus
- experience with and/or have knowledge of Red Hat and VMWare
- solid understanding of advanced security protocols and standards
- experience with both Client and Server virtualization environments
- experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and reimaging hardware
- solid understanding of information security principles and practices
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to support occasional day or short duration travel
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with SQL Server
- SALT and Python scripting experience
- Experience supporting a software configuration management and development environment
- Experience working in an Agile Development Environment or on an Agile Team
- Knowledge of PKI systems which use HSMs to validate key and NTP for synchronization
- Knowledge of PowerShell and PowerCLI
- Experience in documenting and providing information for security accreditation and certification
