Job Summary
Provide patient care by answering calls, assisting with daily activities like toileting, eating, and hygiene, and administering medication assistance. Measure vital signs, record intake and output, and document changes in patient condition or behavior. Turn and reposition bedridden patients, examine for medical issues, and remind patients to take supplements. Ensure appropriate diets are followed while reporting dietary restrictions and allergies to staff. Maintain home safety and sanitation standards, including infection control. This role requires 2+ years of experience, State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, and current CPR and First Aid certification. Applicants must reside in Anne Arundel, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Cecil, Harford, or Prince George Counties or be willing to travel. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work independently in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' work experience
- Basic Health and Tuberculosis Screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
- Current CPR (American Heart Association) & First Aid certification
- Ability to think and work independently and with direction and communicate with staffmembers in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
