Job Summary
MCS & Quality Improvement Coordinator RN provides clinical oversight and nursing education for Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) devices andQuality Improvement (QI) initiatives in the Cardiovascular Services program. Works with the Cardiovascular Services Nursing Director and CICU Medical Director to foster learning, open communication, research and team collaboration for patients requiring MCS (ECMO, IABP, Impella). Develops, provides and manages initial and ongoing education related to MCS devices; leads QI program management, including administration and continuous process improvement, and drives clinical quality improvement activities. Includes competency management and data tracking to monitor program performance and monitors safety events related to ECMO to identify trends and tailor education needs.”,
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Oregon Registered Nurse License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years acute critical care experience
- 1 year ECMO experience
- 1 year IABP and Impella device experience
