Job Summary
Part-time McKinney-Vento Liaison serving homeless students within Tooele County School District. Responsible for advocating for equitable access to educational opportunities, monitoring academic progress and attendance, enrolling students immediately, coordinating access to resources (transportation, school supplies, clothing, hygiene), and collaborating with school staff and community partners to provide comprehensive support. Maintains data on eligibility and services, administers the McKinney-Vento program in compliance with federal/state regulations, and prepares budgets and reports. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; 21+; at least two years of college preferred; bilingual skills preferred; strong interpersonal and organizational abilities; and valid Utah driver's license with reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of college preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred
- Experience with diverse populations
- Knowledge of the McKinney-Vento Act
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Canva
- Valid Utah driver's license and reliable transportation
