Job Summary
Read work orders, formulas, and processing charts to determine specifications and sequence of operations. Weigh and measure ingredients and binding agents, then mix and grind materials while loading, unloading, and adjusting machine controls. Clean materials before processing, inspect, measure, and test components to ensure they meet specifications, and enclose finished items in housings with identifying information. Count, sort, and weigh processed items while maintaining accurate production and inspection records. Adhere to safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out and appropriate PPE usage. This role is part of GE Aerospace's LEAN transformation, supporting the repair of engine components for commercial and military aircraft.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Willingness and ability to work overtime
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with the ability to interpret and follow written procedures (e.g., AWI), complete documentation, and follow verbal instructions
- Must pass physical, background, and drug screenings
- U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening
