Job Summary
Read work orders, formulas, and processing charts to determine specifications and sequence of operations. Weigh and measure ingredients, mix and grind materials, and load/unload parts while adjusting machine controls. Clean materials, inspect, test components, enclose them in housings, and mark identifying information. Maintain accurate production records and adhere to safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out and PPE usage. Ensure all products meet quality assurance standards. This role involves 3rd shift coverage at the McAllen facility specializing in engine component repair, with opportunities for career growth within GE Aerospace's LEAN transformation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Willingness and ability to work overtime
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with the ability to interpret and follow written procedures (e.g., AWI), complete documentation, and follow verbal instructions
- Must pass physical, background, and drug screenings
- U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening
